Masculine Realizing the Softer Edges of the Divine Feminine

RIYA

Here, we have Masculine energy working within its domains with the Divine Feminine to realize forms within hers. Mothering and softening of the hard edges that we come to know -- these are some of the characteristics of the Sun in Cancer opposite Saturn in Capricorn. During this period, our energy spreads everywhere, showing love, affection, and comfort. If we are indiscriminate, we can get into trouble. Love can turn into lust or the desire to present ourselves in an inauthentic manner, affection can turn into affectation and manipulation, not allowing others to "show up" as themselves, and comfort can quickly morph into stagnation.

As the Moon rules the first decan of Cancer, emotions will be at the forefront of this particular cosmic dance. The way out of this is to tend to (and be responsible for) your own needs for love, companionship, family, etc. before you ask a favor from anyone else. Save for and buy that vehicle you have been eyeing so that you can be satisfied, and not subconsciously coveting others' achievements. Step outside of your comfort zone and take that class, go to that meetup, or go after that client.

Some are probably asking, "Well, that is well and good, but HOW do I do that?" Great question. Saturn in Capricorn has the answer. Because Cancer (and indeed all Water signs) has a problem determining how much is too much, this Saturn configuration will sometimes feel like a wet blanket. These experiences may not come all at once -- they may ebb and flow. Manifestations of Saturn in Capricorn may show up as a gruff relative who does not return your hugs, extra hours at work, or the last minute request that you moderate an essential discussion.

Additionally, we have Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Pluto retrograde, with Mercury joining the party soon. If it feels like up seems like down, endings are just beginnings, and "deaths" and disorder seem to follow us where ever we go, we can patiently look at the Sun and the Moon for some grounding. Our truest selves never change, and though our emotions may shift during events in our life, we can continue to shine our Light, moving in an upward state.

Concerning Saturn, you may feel emotionally hemmed in for a protracted period due to the need for duty and responsibility. This circumstance will become a lesson, a blessing in disguise. Emotional neediness, lack of money, and inability to step up to roles of authority are transmuted so that we can use our newfound discernment and not squander the gifts given to us. In other words, we need the rules, so that eventually we can police ourselves. The great thing about Saturn is that he takes away all 3D hokum we may be attached to in his distillation process.

For some, especially those of us that are younger, this may be a trying time. Saturn does not mature before age 28 and depending on the position, does not mature fully until age 48. So what is the point of all of this? To be happy with what we have, nourish our emotional landscape, to take our time, be methodical, burn through some of our karma, and transcend instances of alienation by certain individuals -- the Universe will never leave you.
