Break Outdated Rules!
/In our last week of Capricorn, we learn to move back and forth between what we would consider "dead," that is, whatever is not working in our lives, things that don't affect us anymore, or things that are actually deceased, and whatever is "living."
Bringing life to an otherwise dead situation is an important thing to consider as the Hermes/Anubis archetype comes into play. Hermes was a Greek god (Anubis, Egyptian) who worked with trickster energy that communicated messages from the gods. Nowadays, a trickster is considered to be the fall of society, but this was not the original intent of Hermes. Okay, sometimes it was, but only because those specific rules were not working!
With this energy, we learn to think fast, figure out the puzzle, create the problem, take a second look at situations in our lives, and strategize to get our just due. Individuals naturally born with this energy generally do not follow the rules, because they simply don't apply. Because of this, there is the danger of excess.
As we break the outdated rules, we can use the Capricornian energy to crystallize and clarify the new effects of our mental exercises. Our process is not intellectualism for its own sake, however. Our process is imperative in bringing forth a different life and the stability that is so central to Capricorn, but our discernment is not optimal if we are trying to revive the zombies of our life. These zombies are the things and situations that need a funeral of sorts, but we hold on to them because they bring us comfort, prop up our ego, or don't stretch our imagination. Is it any wonder that dogs (Anubis' canine energy) often inhabit junkyards?
Our imaginations are central to our unfolding during this time, especially with the Aquarian overlap that will be occurring soon. They will help us translate and communicate all that is important to us so that we can stand at the nexus of all of the spheres of our lives, conscious and unconscious. We can then bring integration, instead of separation and chaos. Here is where we can begin our exercise: how does chaos look? Is it really chaos or are our reactions to specific life events chaotic? Before we answer with kneejerk responses, we must examine our circumstances deeply and then be ready use our good ol' Mercurial detachment to sever anything unneeded.
You will drown if too heavily weighted, or need a sherpa for the mountain you have to climb. Severance is essential to move through life with a light heart, and that is one of the messages that the Universe has for us. With Jupiter, Mars, and Moon in Scorpio, today is the perfect day to take inventory of beliefs, how we feel about them, and act upon our willingness cleanse the cruft. Our approaching New Moon in Capricorn will give us a stable place to start all over again, a cocoon to reset and refresh.
