Sagittarius Guides you to Keep Perspective
/The Temperance Tarot card marks Sagittarius: the card, or map, shows an angel with outstretched wings, pouring water from one cup to another, seemingly diving the portion. One of his feet stands on the ground, the other in the water, in a natural landscape that shows all of the elements: the sun for fire, the river for water, mountains for the earth, the open countryside for air.
In the angel's heart chakra, an upright triangle sits within a square. In alchemy, an upright triangle is representative of spirit moving upward or the third eye. Squares tend to symbolize the material world. Here, we can see that this is a card of the alchemy of balance. We can enhance our balance materially in our yoga through Vrkasana, or even Eagle pose if we can include that in our practice. In our meditation, we can visualize finding a happy medium between extremes. As we enter the second decan of Sagittarius, the alchemical process of opening your heart to allow your spirit to become one with the material plane, allowing the world to meld your Soul, becomes all the more critical.
So let's move with our hearts using moon energy! With the Gemini supermoon fading into Cancer, it is important to communicate our wants and needs to our friends and loved ones this week. With Mercury in retrograde, take time to examine what you are saying and how you are saying it because rushing can lead to mishaps and miscommunication in the future when Mercury goes direct on Dec 22.
Additionally, unexpected events will happen that will shock us, or surprise us, as Uranus in Aries is square the moon. Try to keep perspective on what is essential and what is not. This is particularly important because you may want to try to exact some retribution as Pluto opposes the Moon and squares Uranus as well. The way we can creatively work with this energy is allowing surprise opportunities to give us the platform to show the power of real Love. Jupiter and Neptune will assist putting us in positions that will move us to our highest good, and if we maintain clarity in our relationships, then we will get what we need to continue our sense of stability and nourishment about the love we give and the Love we receive.
There will be instances in which we learn how we define value and from where this value is derived. Try not to tangle up money and self-worth -- this will confuse and even weaken business partnerships or the romantic relationships you may have. There may be a sense of feeling like you are moving rationally and methodically and having things come out of nowhere to knock you off your course. These events will tie into your sense of value, but understand all is temporary. Keeping perspective is a simple lesson, but not necessarily an easy one.
Next week we will discuss the last decan of Sagittarius and how to take advantage of the Sagittarius New Moon!
